I'm a little unclear on what Angle Of and Angle In are. Could you give some figures (quick drawings in ms paint or equivalent would be great). --Cynic 17:31, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

I'll see what I can do. Basically:

  • "Angle of" is the angle formed between the base and the tangent at the point where the base meets the circumference.
  • "Angle in" is the (obtuse) angle of the triangle formed by joining the end points of the base with a point on the circumference forming the curved boundary of the segment.

Unfortunately at this point we haven't defined "triangle" or "tangent" so we can't use them.

I'll dig out a graphics package and see what I can do but I can't draw, not at all (i.e. never learnt to use a graphics package), so it will take some time to do. --Matt Westwood 17:40, 15 November 2008 (UTC)

Here it is, oo-er, it came out a bit big. Damn, I really need to learn how to use the tools...

Anyway, BCE is the angle of the segment, CDB is the angle in the segment.
