Then the following results apply:
Modulo Addition
Let $a \equiv b \pmod z$ and $c \equiv d \pmod z$.
- $a + c \equiv b + d \pmod z$
- $a - c \equiv b - d \pmod z$
Modulo Multiplication
- $ac \equiv bd \pmod z$
