- $3000$
Mistake
- The smallest number requiring more than $12$ letters to write in the English language. It uses $13$.
Well, $101$ uses more than $12$ letters for a start:
- one hundred and one, for $16$ letters
or, in the American style:
- one hundred one, for $13$ letters.
