Historical Note on $3333$: (Three Thousand, Three Hundred and Thirty-Three)
According to 1986: David Wells: Curious and Interesting Numbers, the Gregorian calendar moves ahead $1$ day approximately every $3333$ years.
This is the result of using the slightly imprecise value of $365 \cdotp 2422$ days per tropical year.
Using the more precise value of $\approx 365 \cdotp 24219 \, 878$ days per tropical year, the number of years is approximately $3319$.
Note, however, that the Gregorian calendar moves backwards one day every $3319$ years, not ahead.
The origin of this statement is not given.
