Definition

Let $\mathbb K$ be a field.

Let $V$ be a vector space over $\mathbb K$.

Let $b$ be a bilinear form on $V$.

Then $b$ is alternating if and only if:

$\forall v \in V: b \left({v, v}\right) = 0$
