Historical Note on Analytical Mechanics
The field of analytical mechanics was initiated by Gottfried Wilhelm von Leibniz.
It took shape with the work of Leonhard Paul Euler and Joseph Louis Lagrange, and later refined by William Rowan Hamilton.
