A hectogon is a polygon with exactly $100$ sides.


Also known as

The term hectagon can also be seen for hectogon.

However, this word can also be found in literature used incorrectly, where either hexagon or heptagon is meant.

Hence it is advised that this is not used, in order to alleviate confusion.


Linguistic Note

The word hectogon derives from the Greek ἑκατόν (hekatón), meaning one hundred, and gon, deriving from the Greek for corner.
