Linguistic Note on Hendecahedron
The word hendecahedron derives from the Classical Greek ἕνδεκαεδρόν:
- hendeca (ἕνδεκα), meaning eleven
- hedron (a form of ἕδρα), meaning base or seat.
The technically correct plural of hendecahedron is hendecahedra, but the word hendecahedrons can often be found.
