Linguistic Note on Heptahedron
The word heptahedron derives from the Classical Greek ἑπτάεδρόν:
- hepta (ἑπτά), meaning seven
- hedron (a form of ἕδρα), meaning base or seat.
The technically correct plural of heptahedron is heptahedra, but the word heptahedrons can often be found.
