# Definition talk:Norm/Ring

I have created new pages **Leigh.Samphier/Sandbox/Norm Refactor/Norm/Ring** and **Leigh.Samphier/Sandbox/Norm Refactor/Norm/Division Ring** where **submultiplicative norm** and **multiplicative norm** have been put into separated pages. I have also created the theorem pages to support the comments made in the Notes sections. All of the new pages/amended pages can be viewed from **Leigh.Samphier/Sandbox/Norm Refactor|Norms on Rings Refactor**. This page has been nagging me, because it states that a "norm is a submultiplicative norm" while there are also multiplicative norms. Perhaps the page could be amended to say "a (submultiplicative) norm ..." and transclude the definition of multiplicative norm.
