I have created new pages Leigh.Samphier/Sandbox/Norm Refactor/Norm/Ring and Leigh.Samphier/Sandbox/Norm Refactor/Norm/Division Ring where submultiplicative norm and multiplicative norm have been put into separated pages. I have also created the theorem pages to support the comments made in the Notes sections. All of the new pages/amended pages can be viewed from Leigh.Samphier/Sandbox/Norm Refactor|Norms on Rings Refactor. If this is what is expected, I'll publish these pages. --Leigh.Samphier (talk) 06:45, 7 November 2018 (EST)

Yes, that's the sort of thing. --prime mover (talk) 12:52, 7 November 2018 (EST)

This page has been nagging me, because it states that a "norm is a submultiplicative norm" while there are also multiplicative norms. Perhaps the page could be amended to say "a (submultiplicative) norm ..." and transclude the definition of multiplicative norm. The Notes section does a good job of clarifying the origin of this distinction. — Lord_Farin (talk) 06:04, 1 January 2019 (EST)
