I consciously eliminated the specific formulation in terms of the successor set, because we're interested in $\N$ here, not in whatever particular axiomatisation of this system we are using. — Lord_Farin (talk) 14:35, 11 April 2015 (UTC)

Okay, but why $n_0$? $n_0$ to me sounds like a specific instance of an element of $\N$ (usually the smallest element of some specific subset of $\N$) rather than whatever variable element (e.g. $x$) that it really is. Okay so it's not wrong, just a bit confusing. --prime mover (talk) 15:37, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
The issue here was nothing other than $m$ already being in use. I'm open to better suggestions for the variable name; it's not the most beautiful indeed (but $n'$ can mean other things here, so it isn't appropriate either). — Lord_Farin (talk) 15:56, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
$x$, like it was before and like it is on various corresponding pages, works for me. After all, it's only a dummy variable. --prime mover (talk) 18:41, 11 April 2015 (UTC)
