Mathematician

Suggested by Ronald L. Graham, Donald E. Knuth and Oren Patashnik in Concrete Mathematics: A Foundation for Computer Science, 2nd ed. of $1994$ as being one of the inventors (with C.A.R. Hoare) of what is referred to on $\mathsf{Pr} \infty \mathsf{fWiki}$ as Wirth interval notation.

However, evidence is strong to suggest that he did nothing of the sort, and merely adopted it for his $1979$ thesis -- and even that is in doubt.
