where $\sec$ denotes secant.


Proof

\(\ds \sec 0 \degrees\) \(=\) \(\ds \frac 1 {\cos 0 \degrees}\) Secant is Reciprocal of Cosine
\(\ds \) \(=\) \(\ds \frac 1 1\) Cosine of Zero is One
\(\ds \) \(=\) \(\ds 1\)
