Historical Note on Tangent to Archimedean Spiral at Point
The Tangent to Archimedean Spiral at Point was first determined by Archimedes in his book On Spirals.
His proof appears as Proposition $20$.
It is suggested that the method used by Archimedes anticipated the methods of differential calculus.
