Let $f$ be a real or complex function.
A reflection formula is a functional equation relating $\map f {a - x}$ to $\map f x$ for some $a \in \Dom f$.
Also known as
A reflection formula is also known as a reflection relation.
It is common in the literature to use the term functional equation when reflection formula is meant.
However, as a reflection formula is a specific instance of a functional equation, this is excusable.
