Same story as Definition talk:Trace (Linear Algebra)/Linear Operator. --barto (talk) 14:32, 13 July 2017 (EDT)

On the case. --prime mover (talk) 14:33, 13 July 2017 (EDT)
Okay. It's indeed useful to keep the redirects from page names with "Transformation", for people who do not distinguish between Operator and Transformation. (I'm just making sure that any (non-)action is intentional.) --barto (talk) 14:39, 13 July 2017 (EDT)
The important point here is that we distinguish between "operator" and "transformation", and all links are appropriately directed to the specific definitions as we have defined them. Beyond making the observation (in an "also known as"), we do not maintain links consistent with a different naming convention or we will only propagate confusion. --prime mover (talk) 15:05, 13 July 2017 (EDT)
I'm just afraid that someone who searches for both keywords "determinant" and "transformation" (because that's how he learned to call it in his courses) would get no matches, and conclude that ProofWiki does not have what he's looking for. That's the only reason I could give for keeping at least one redirect. --barto (talk) 15:17, 13 July 2017 (EDT)
But we have "determinant", where's the problem? And you really think someone's going to come to $\mathsf{Pr} \infty \mathsf{fWiki}$ to do research? Don't make me laugh! --prime mover (talk) 16:41, 13 July 2017 (EDT)
