I'm concerned that, in some situations, $m \divides n$ might be confused with set difference $A \setminus B$. Comments? --abcxyz 00:28, 18 April 2012 (EDT)
I'm not, because in this context $m$ and $n$ are not sets. --prime mover 01:03, 18 April 2012 (EDT)
REVISIT: Yes, I can see those contexts arising when discussing ordinals and the Von Neumann construction of the natural numbers -- but in those circumstances we will just need to be careful to specify exactly what we mean. --prime mover (talk) 05:00, 13 March 2020 (EDT)
