This shows a more general statement that $\set {\map q {x_\alpha} : \alpha \in A}$ generates $X/\ker T$ if and only if $\set {T x_\alpha : \alpha \in A}$ generates the image of $T$. Feel free to rework, but I don't need this quite yet. Caliburn (talk) 12:26, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
