Mistake

According to OEIS, even when excluding negative cubes, there is a mistake in this sequence:

This sequence is A128931 in the On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences (N. J. A. Sloane (Ed.), 2008).

The corrected sequence is:

This sequence is A126203 in the On-Line Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences (N. J. A. Sloane (Ed.), 2008).

which includes:

$25^3 + 26^3 + 27^3 + 28^3 + 29^3 = 99 \, 225 = 315^2$

The mistake seems to be historical in nature. --RandomUndergrad (talk) 05:35, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

Heh! well found.
I've just done the necessary research. Lucas published the correct sequence in $1873$. Dickson made the mistake when he reported on it in $1920$. Wells then seems to have got his info from Dickson, or a further tertiary source.
The count of mistakes in Wells's work is now up to $173$. Good job. --prime mover (talk) 09:22, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
