Regarding my edit

The previous version suggested that $\struct {X,d_X}$ should be complete metric spaces. This requirement is not needed, as the theorem does not use Cauchy sequences, nor does any other theorem in the proof use Cauchy sequences. --Anghel (talk) 12:41, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
