In defence of $\mathsf{Pr} \infty \mathsf{fWiki}$ activists, there are not that many people who actually argue about how things ought to be done. Given that there exists a stylistic framework into which postings are expected to slot neatly, most contributors are content to reside within that framework and adhere more or less neatly to the style imposed. There are also those who quietly get on with the task of ensuring that stylistic uniformity (and, indeed, to continue its development).

Those whose contributions towards the site major in the areas of questioning the choice of notation, the style of writing source code, the conventions for naming of page titles, etc. are few. Unfortunately, the world being what it is, if those people have useful contributions to make to the actual content, then as a consequence they are likely to be taken less seriously. --prime mover (talk) 09:11, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
