Linguistic Note on Pentahedron
The word pentahedron derives from the Classical Greek:
- pente (πέντε), meaning five
- hedron (a form of ἕδρα), meaning base or seat.
The technically correct plural of pentahedron is pentahedra, but the word pentahedrons can often be found.
