Can now omit everything but the first three lines? The rest is just repeating the definition for $M \in \{ \N,\Z\}$ --Linus44 (talk) 14:54, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

My view is move them into their own pages and transclude them - then it emphasises the important fact that they are independent of the actual definition of the entity in question.
Site philosophy is that the main section of a definition page contains only the definition, so that the reader can tell where the definition begins and ends, and does not get mentally sidetracked with any extraneous information that the writer of that page may have included because it's "interesting". --prime mover (talk) 16:18, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
