Commutative diagrams

It's a compromise, and it's fiddly, but I've been using Geogebra (free download, java based, analytical-geometry based mathematics graphics tool) to do my commutative diagrams with. Might be worth taking a look. --prime mover 07:39, 8 August 2012 (UTC)

Symbols for objects

$*$ and $\star$ look too similar, IMO. Suggest either one be replaced by $\circ$, despite what may be in the source book. What say? --prime mover 07:14, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

$\circ$ seems a bad idea, but I take your point. Take your pick of $\diamond, \square, \diamondsuit, \Diamond$. --Lord_Farin 07:26, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

I wonder whether "$\circledast$" instead of $*$? Maybe a few words suggesting that "$*$ is what you normall see but in the interest of reducing eyestrain, ..." --prime mover 08:53, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
