Examples of Polar Vectors

Force

Force is an example of a polar vector.

It is applied along a line of action or at a point of action and so induces acceleration in the direction of that force.

Displacement

Displacement is an example of a polar vector.

It is the result of motion in a particular direction defined by the vector representing that displacement.

Velocity

Velocity is an example of a polar vector.

It is defined as motion in a particular direction defined by the vector representing that velocity.
