I am quite happy to bulldoze this in favour of Equivalence of Definitions of Norm of Linear Transformation and just say "this is the case $\struct {V, \norm \cdot_V} = \struct {\mathbb F, \cmod \cdot}$". There is no real difference in the presentation. Caliburn (talk) 09:41, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
- I would like to keep it separate for two reasons: 1. linear functionals and linear transformations are not quite the same (hence the name difference); 2. Conway does specifically give and prove this result. — Lord_Farin (talk) 17:35, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
