Definition
An antiprism is a prismatoid which has $2$ congruent polygonal bases:
One such base is rotated with respect to to the other one so the lateral faces are triangles.
Examples
Square Antiprism
This is an antiprism with a square base:
It has $8$ edges joining the vertices of the bases, delineating $8$ triangular lateral faces.
