Algebra
A derived equation, in the context of algebra, is an equation which has been obtained from another equation by means of one or more algebraic operations.
For example:
- dividing both the right hand side and left hand side by the same divisor
- adding the same term to both sides.
Calculus
A derived equation, in the context of differential calculus, is an equation which has been obtained from another equation by means of differentiation of both sides.
