Definition
Let $\mathbf u$ and $\mathbf v$ be vector quantities in space such that:
- the lines of action of $\mathbf u$ and $\mathbf v$ are the same or parallel
- their directions are opposite.
Then $\mathbf u$ and $\mathbf v$ are antiparallel.
