Definition
Let $\Bbb I = \closedint {t_1} {t_2}$ be a time interval.
Let $\mathbf s_1$ and $\mathbf s_2$ be the displacement of $B$ at $t_1$ and $t_2$ respectively.
The average velocity of $B$ during $\Bbb I$ is defined as the change of displacement during $\Bbb I$ divided by the length of $\Bbb I$:
- $\overline {\mathbf v} := \dfrac {\mathbf s_2 - \mathbf s_1} {t_2 - t_2}$
