Definition
Between-treatments sum of squares is a technique in analysis of variance.
It is defined as:
- what the sum of squares of deviations from the mean would have been if the response for each experimental unit had been equal to the mean response for all units receiving that treatment.
It is obtained by dividing the sum of squares by the number of degrees of freedom.
