Definition
Let a perpendicular $AE$ be dropped from the apex of a cone to the plane containing its base.
The length $h$ of the line $AE$ is the height of the cone.
Also known as
The height of a cone is also sometimes known as its altitude.
However, on $\mathsf{Pr} \infty \mathsf{fWiki}$ we reserve the word altitude to mean the actual straight line that defines that height.
