Welcome

Welcome to ProofWiki! Since you're new, you may want to check out the general help page. It's the best first stop to see how things are done (next to reading proofs, of course!). Please feel free to contribute to whichever area of mathematics interests you, either by adding new proofs, or fixing up existing ones. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me, or post your question on the questions page.

Here are some useful pages to help get you started:

 • Community Portal - To see what needs to be done, and keep up to date with the community.
 • Recent Changes - To keep up with what's new, and what's being added.
 • Main Page talk - This is where most of the main discussions regarding the direction of the site talk place. If you have any ideas, please share them!

Cheers, Joe (talk)

Good to see someone making a start on the graph theory stuff. Fine stuff. Quick note: when lodging a Definition, put it in . There's a link at the bottom of the page in "MediaWiki Functions" you can just click on and it will magically appear.) Then it makes sure that the sorting is done on the subpage name (e.g. "Connected Graph") rather than on the full name (e.g. "Definition:Connected Graph").

Silly me, I notice that you have done this in most of the pages you added. Ignore me. --Matt Westwood 13:41, 28 June 2009 (UTC)

Incidentally, something which may make your life easier ... although there's no problem making a reference to edge etc. in your pages, you might want to use edge and so on, as there are redirects available. Advantages: (a) it's less to type, and (b) if we ever get round to moving the subpages (like "Edge" off of Graph) into their own pages, it would limit the amount of rework we'd need to do as the links to it would already be in place. Not a big deal - just thought I'd mention it.

Glad you like GeoGebra - IMO it rocks like, er, something that rocks big time. Only thing I'm disappointed in is the ability to colour in regions (and hence to make usable Venn diagrams which I still haven't worked out how to do). Oh yes, and setting up polar graphs are a bit of a production. There's lots of help on various forums on the web tho. --Matt Westwood 19:34, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
